s we begin the millennium, Benjamin Thompson, son of Bruce, is the emerging talent with his first collection of oil paintings. Ben had a very earl interest in art and was accomplished in the skill of drawing at an early age. At age 6, he entered and won first place in the Crayola Family Circle contest. The drawing was of his family; Mother, Father and new baby sister, entered in the best artistic talent category. It was a serious portrait, lacking child-like qualities one expects of a six year old. During his grade school and high school career he was published in Southern Lakes Anthology five years running, took art classes and volunteered for many projects featuring murals and drawings. Benjamin is now a senior at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater as a math major.
